  • MÉJEAN Caroline
Caroline Méjean

Caroline MEJEAN, the co-ordinator of NuTWInd project, is an epidemiologist in nutrition, researcher at the French Institute of Agricultural Research, in the UMR MOISA. Her area of interest is the study of determinants of diet and nutritional status, in particular the interaction between food environment of populations and their dietary behaviours (food supply, food preparation, and consumption).  She studied nutrition transition in North Africa during her PhD and she has coordinated several cross-sectional and longitudinal epidemiologic studies (e.g. co-investigator of the Nutrinet-Santé cohort) in general or vulnerable populations. She has already coordinated multi-partners projects (SenSaFood project, funbdy by INRA DIDI’IT Metaprogramme; PARCOURS project, funded by French Institute in Public Health Research) and she participated in multidisciplinary projects (sociology, economy, sensory research, nutrition), funded by the French National Research Agency (Aliminfo, Epipref, MEDINA, BioNutrinet, OCAD and AlimaSens). She also participated in several projects funded by INRA DiD’it Metaprogramme (EpiSenS, FoodPol, PAV) and two international projects funded by the European Union (TAHINA, 5th PCRD; Health Sector Reform: Towards A More Global Approach of Child Health, 4th PCRD). She is a member of the steering committee of the INRA GloFoodS Metaprogramme (Transitions to Global Food Security). She is also a member of the DEDIPAC Knowledge Hub, a multidisciplinary consortium of scientists from 68 research centers in 12 countries across Europe that aims to understand the determinants of dietary, physical activity and sedentary behaviours.

  • COLOMBET Zoé
Zoé Colombet

Zoé Colombet is a PhD student in the multidisciplinary UMR MOISA, in Montpellier, south of France. After a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Biochemistry and a Master degree in Public Health, specialty Epidemiology, she starts in September 2017 an PhD on nutritional epidemiology: " Characterization of dietary patterns of adults and children in the French West Indies: social determinants and evolution", under the direction of Caroline Méjean.

  • PERIGNON Marlène
Marlène Perignon
  • DROGUÉ Sophie
Sophie Drogué

Sophie Drogué is an engineer at INRA within the French multidisciplinary laboratory UMR MOISA. As an economist, her work focuses on modelling and quantifying the effects of public policies (sanitary and phytosanitary regulations, nutritional recommendations) on international trade. She has participated in many projects funded by the ANR (MEDINA, SUSTAIN'APPLE) or the European Commission (NTM IMPACT, AgFoodTrade, TradeAg, EumedAgPol).

  • DARMON Nicole
Nicole Darmon

Nicole Darmon is a nutritionist, epidemiologist and senior researcher at the INRA (French National Research Institute for Agricultural Research) in Montpellier, south of France. Expert in the field of social inequalities in nutrition and sustainable diets, she studies the multiple constraints influencing healthy food choices, be they related to individual preference, economical and physical access. She develops models and interventions to translate the recommendations (nutritional, toxicological, environmental ...) into realistic, healthy and more sustainable food practices.

  • AMIOT-CARLIN Marie-Josèphe
Marie-Josèphe Amiot-Carlin

Marie Josèphe Amiot-Carlin, nutritionist, is a Senior Scientist in the Division of Nutrition, Chemical Food Safety and Consumer Behaviour of the National Research Institute on Agronomy (INRA), She got a PhD on  "Physiology and Biology of Organisms and Populations"  at the University of Montpellier after a Master on Biological Chemistry in Paris. She started her research on antibiotics in Paris, then on bioactive substances of plants in 1983 at INRA. From 1993 to 2016, she was responsible successively of two teams on: “Antioxidants” and “ Fat-soluble micronutrients” and, then she was the head of a Nutrition Unit in the Faculty of Medicine In Marseille. She managed different programmes funded by Europe, the French Research Agency, and the private sectors. She was scientific responsible of numerous clinical studies on the bioavailability of micronutrients and their health effects, especially on obesity, metabolic syndrome and their associated impairments (inflammation and vascular risk), She has also a solid expertise in the changes of food qualities from the field to the plate. Her publications include more than 150 original articles, reviews and book chapters, 2 patents and around 100 lectures and communications and she has coordinated three books (http://orcid.org/0000-0003-4563-4587; ResearcherID: M-1203-2017). She was involved in collective expertise (on Fruit and vegetables at INRA and on the establishment of French food recommendations at ANSES).

In 2017, she moved from Marseille to Montpellier to work on food and nutritional security and sustainable food systems. She currently participates to projects on organic food consumption (BIONUTRINET funded by ANR, RMT TransfoBio). She is Workpackage leader of URBAL (Urban-driven Innovations for Sustainable Food Systems) project. From the 1rst November 2018, she is scientific leader at ANR (for 30%) to build a collaborative support action in the call PRIMA (Partnership fo Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Aera). She chairs the Scientific Commission on Biological and Medical Sciences of IRD for the evaluation and recruitment of scientists, and co-chairs the Scientific Commission on Nutrition and Toxicology at INRA. At INRA, she is also expert in two “food value chain” groups (Fruit and vegetables, and “pulses”).

In Nutwind, she is involved in the WP1 and WP4. She is involved in the collective expertise, leaded by Caroline Méjean, and with IRD on the food and nutrition in the French overseas territories.

Nicolas Bricas
  • LAMANI Viola
Viola Lamani

Viola Lamani has a PhD in economics and is a research engineer at INRA within the UMR MOISA. Her work focuses on the determinants of international trade flows. Her main research interests consist in quantifying the impact of trade barriers, whether policy-related or natural, on the quality structure of international trade flows.
